Do you remember New Year’s Eve 2000? It was Y2K and the Apocalypse…people expected the Y2K computer “bug” to cause worldwide problems, including the disruption of electricity, water services, food delivery, banking systems and transportation, leading to a complete breakdown in society.
While everybody was waiting for this chaos, I was watching on TV all the fireworks through out the world, over and over again and not by choice, that was all it was on TV. I wasn’t celebrating the New Year because I was under the weather with a flu. I thought that night I was dying! (yes I exaggerate just like men with a cold )
Now 18 years later with other scary thoughts: The World War III conspiracy, North Korea is defying international sanctions to continue its plot to create an arsenal of nuclear and biological weapons.
We can’t put our head in the sand, but let’s all hope nothing will happen!
Last Year New Year’s Eve I was outside celebrating at Major park looking at the fireworks but not this year at -30. Yes 2017 was a very joyful and a good year for me, with all your generosity including with your time and gifts, traveling-gifts. I have never been so spoiled and blessed to get to know you. I thank you so much for your kindness, of course, I will not mention names, you know who you are!
Let’s all celebrate our lives by enjoying every moment!
Hugs & kisses

What a cold week we are having, only the brave ones go out! For your bravery, I prolong my holiday special. Your chestnuts roasted on open fire on a cold week are very welcomed until Sunday 4 pm on New Year’s Eve.

The winter solstice, December 21 is the “shortest” day of the year, it’s dark really early, and marks the start of the winter period. Only sub doggy who knew where this sun is and told me and I passed by very often in Summer, but I couldn’t still not find it, the trees leaves blocked it, in Winter it can easily be spotted.
